As a member of the National Association for Information Destruction, Inc., we take data security very seriously. If you trust us to re-market or recycle your electronics, you can be confident that your information will be kept safe, secure, and confidential.
ACT Secured Recycling guarantees that we will destroy all data on all electronic devices and back-up media that you turn in. In our secure Massachusetts facility, we provide DoD-compliant data wiping, as well as drive shredding.
Our process begins with a complete audit and inspection of your equipment as soon as it arrives at our facility. Asset tags are removed and your product is assigned a lot number. In accordance with Department of Defense specifications (DoD) 5220.22-M, all of the sensitive information is removed from your hard drives.
For those customers who prohibit the resale of their obsolete equipment, our in-house technicians will physically destroy all drives, rendering data retrieval impossible. Then, we provide a Certificate of Destruction verifying that all information stored on devices and media sent to us has been destroyed.
